Here I’ve come to hold

the delicate

ephemeral beauty

Of blooms

It Stirs in me a sense of gratitude and childlike wonder

when i photograph inarguably beautiful things.

My Appreciation and celebration of spring and blooms

is because it is an annual testament to the endurance of light and life

it is a grace that bursts forth

waiting for no war or suffering to end

giving respite

with its riot of color on the hills and treetops

a precious time

because spring is so fleeting

like so much else in the human experience

discussion on materials used:

to evoke the sensation of recollection

you will find many of my photographs lack clarity,

intentionally, through various photography processes,

and lastly printing on the most delicate Japanese paper that shifts with just your breathe

because Memories, though seem faded, can leave a beautiful imprint on our thoughts and being.
